I am the newly appointed principal to Hallett Cove School in 2012. I do feel privileged to have been appointed to lead the school over the next 7 years.
Some of the latest new innovations will include:
- The 1-1 Laptop program at year 9 to provide the best 21st Century Learning environment. The International Society for Technology in Education provide standards for global learning in the digital age which the school will explore and adopt for teachers and students. See http://www.iste.org/standards.aspx
- The school will become a ‘Quicksmart’ school. This program provides research based literacy and numeracy intervention programs developed by the New England University. This program results in huge improved literacy and numeracy results for our students. See http://www.une.edu.au/simerr/quicksmart/pages/index.php

Our students value their school highly, they are proud to be part of this school community. In a recent survey conducted by Quality Learning Australia the students ranked these two areas very high; feeling safe at school and individual progress.
We have a strong commitment to R-12 schooling and the sense of community that is developed together with the smooth transition through the different levels of schooling.
