Course Length

2 semesters (1 year)
1 day per week for a full year—commences Week 2, Term 1


Students will be involved in a range of introductory topics such as hand and power tools, construction and levelling, with an emphasis on plumbing skills and safety. This course provides an introduction suitable for any trade within the construction industry, especially Plumbing.


University Pathways: Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics, Design Studies, Architecture, Environmental Health, Interior Architecture.

TAFE Pathways: Sub Contractors, Project Builders, Work Supervisors, Designers and Estimators. Career Options: Architect, Bricklayer, Building Contractor, Site Manager, Carpenter, Joiner, Project Manager, Concreter, Plumber, Wall and Floor Tiler, Mobile Plant Operator, Painter and Decorator, Paving Installer, Plasterer, Roofer, Sign Writer, Stonemason.
